At Truth First Counselling, our approach is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel both supported and honestly challenged. Therapy is not one- size- fits- all, so each client's experience is shaped around their unique needs, goals, and pace. We work collaboratively to create a space where you can explore difficult experiences, gain deeper insight into patterns that keep you stuck, and begin moving toward lasting change.  

This practice combines compassionate support with direct and honest conversation. You will be met with care and understanding while also being encouraged to look at the patterns, beliefs and behaviours that may be holding you back.

Therapeutic Approaches: 

Sessions draw from several evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including: 
 

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to explore and shift patterns of thinking and behaviour

  • Parts Work to understand the different aspets of yourself and how they interact

  • Somatic approaches to support connection with the body and nervous system regulation 

  • Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help process and resolve distressing memories and experiences 

These approaches as well as various other strategies, are used flexibly and thoughtfully depending on each client's needs and goals.

Hi, I am Lokadia, I am a Clinical Counsellor

I bring compassion, honesty, and curiosity into every session. I’m here to support you, while also gently challenging the patterns that keep you stuck so you can move toward meaningful change.

 

My path into counselling was shaped by my own experiences and the growth that came from working through them, which is part of what fuels the care and understanding I bring to my work.

 

Outside of counselling, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside in the sunshine, and doing creative, artsy things that help me slow down and recharge.
